Housing is a human right.
Fairer Housing began in 2021 when families in desperate need of a decent, affordable home started to meet with local grassroots community groups in West London. We explored the reasons for the housing crisis and the big changes needed to make decent, safe and affordable homes available for everyone.
Since then, we have developed a range of ways to support and empower families to improve their housing and their prospects for a better life.
We have assisted the development of peer support, as families learn from the achievements of others.
We build confidence through discussion groups and help families to understand the issues that underpin poor housing and how they can develop solutions.
We provide individual advice and support for individual problems.
We are developing new services to include specialist advice; involvement in the creative arts; a Mentoring Service; and a Savers Club.
